Crowwood Golf Club Email

Welcome

This is the official website of the Crow Wood Golf Club situated to the North of Glasgow, off the A80. The tree lined flat parkland course was formed in 1925 on the acquisition of part of the grounds of Garnkirk Estate along with the 18th century Mansion House. Although the house was subsequently sold and the new owner rebuilt it from the foundations up in 1937, it was re-aquired in 1955 and converted to the present clubhouse. There have been several changes to the building since then although the beautiful oak panelling remains unaltered

The latest refurbishment was carried out in 2001 when the "Crow's Nest" spike bar was one of the additions, allowing a relaxation of the dress rules so that players coming in off the course could enjoy the clubhouse facilities without the need to necessarily change their clothing or footwear.
As with so many courses both locally and throughout the UK the course was designed by James Braid and while most of the holes more or less use the same layout additional ground was acquired in the 1930's on which the current 6th to 9th holes are built, which stretched the length by some 600 yards to its current length of 6,168 yards.
